[Fixed] Stop engine from rendering back faces on models?

Post by so19 »

Is there any way to do this? It seems like engine builds prior to 1.36 didn’t render backfaces in models but does so now.

My understanding of things technical has never been great so19. Not sure what you're using- does this happen with all model formats? I believe the latest betas can handle multiple formats if I'm not mistaken.

Hi - At this point just md2 and md3 files - haven’t tried any other formats but same issue with both

So19, pardon the extreme nature of my next suggestion, but would you be willing to use an older version of edge? 1.37 was rendering models correctly a far as I know.

Understood. I'm guessing MD5 format isn't a workable solution, or it's not something that can converted to easily. Coralline is posting over at the Zdoom 3dge thread, we'll be gifted with her presence here soon enough. I've just noticed your posts about this issue from April, so this problem
probably involved some long term rendering fixes that can't be rushed. It's not easy being a modder with plans that were implementable and then ceased to be so, we thank you for you patience and dedication so19.
