Skipping intro video causes crash

Post by Lobo »

If we try and skip the intro video, or just start clicking the mouse button, around 50℅ of the time EDGE crashes. Pressing Space or Enter keys can also crash it, though it seems to be more likely with the mouse.

If the user is a newcomer to EDGE, this gives an EXTREMELY bad first impression of the port: I would go so far as to suggest removing the intro video until this bug is fixed.

Implemented and will be in the next devbuild.

Side note; I’ve also replaced our ROQ player with an all-in-one media handler (SDL_KitchenSink), though this will *require* the use of ffmpeg and all of its libraries on Windows which will be provided in the archive packages which will make said archives pretty large - better though than statically linking ...naturally inflates the EXE to an unacceptable size on Windows..

Sounds interesting. Can we call a video from pre-level screen? I'm thinking intro video when a player starts map01...
