Re: Heathen (medieval/fantasy mod) v0.3
Let me start off by saying this gameplay mod is highly addictive and fun to play. I love the smoothness of the gore, and the communication weapons have on impact with the environment and enemies. Thank you very much. Did you intend to use the Skull Staff and a Power weapon for slots 7-8? I pretty m...

Re: RTS via Lines
Hi friend and welcome to the forum, glad youre giving EDGE a go! Well, I'm hardly new to the scene but thanks all the same :D I've tried creating a script with the tag 11, but it did not work. The line trigger just ended up non-functionable. So what is "BLOCK_LINES 15" and "UNBLOCK_LINES 16" all ab...

RTS via Lines
I am trying to get a line trigger to activate a script in RTS using the RADIUS_TRIGGER special (ENABLE_TAGGED or DISABLE_TAGGED) for LINES.DDF. I've read the available docs and tried it numerous times but with no succes. I just don't get it. Is it broken? Say, I want to make the DOOM line trigger #1...

Silent but Deadly
Turns the game into a more stealthy Ninja-esque experience with appropiate weapons and lots of blood and dismemberment. More of an experiment than anything else. Requires latest version of 3DGE. As always, feedback is appreciated. Enjoy! Have some screenshots: https://i.imgur.com/eQlYV7M.png https:/...

Re: [3DGE]Shadow Dancer (Proof of Concept)
Interesting. I've made a couple of attempts at creating a Ninja/Samurai themed mod myself, but they ended up shelved due to my limited understanding of the concept and realisation that at the end of the day, I prefer guns. Even got pretty far with one mod.

Re: Feature Suggestion: Hitbox
Yes, I know about the WEAKNESS feature. What I am talking about is different. You have the height and width of the creature which could be anything, with what I am suggesting you make the creature's damage area independant from the height/width of the creature (normally it is the same) with the new ...

Feature Suggestion: Hitbox
Not sure where to stick this but I'll put it here seeing as the feature suggestion section is locked. How about adding something like HITBOX_RADIUS and HITBOX_HEIGHT for THINGS ? If present, it won't affect the creatures height and width but only its actual hitbox (where you need to hit it to make a...

Re: Find nearest existing sprite angle
Sounds like a good idea to me, even if it wouldn't be used all that much. I've come across sprites from various FPS games that use limited angles in a similar fashion, such as front, side and back (three angles) and ones where only the front and back are used. As long as it doesn't mess up the norma...
