3dge running ABC v6 models using noesis Python scripts?

3dge running ABC v6 models using noesis Python scripts?

Post by 3rd_3ye »

Hi, I know this is far fetched as there's no way to create an ABC v6 (lithtech) model these days, but could noesis Python scripts be used to convert ABC models to object models on the fly, allowing 3dge to use them?

It would gobble up lots of ram, and be less than practical, but it would allow the content creators of retail games the ability to produce modifications that are nearly impossible now because of obsolete formats and directX emulation issues in win10.

Had to ask...

Any model format can be supported and converted, theoretically, as long as format specifications are open-source.

You would just be lacking the will from someone to code them in at that point ;-)
