Re: [in development] unnamed fantasy mod

It would be really nice if you could put those DDF files into the wad itself. Otherwise I have to rename the folders in my directory to try this mod. That being said, I am surprised to find I don't know how to do this. Slade will recognize ddf files in a wad and label them as such, but when I import...

Re: Custom Palette Issue

Well I'm not in a big hurry to get this one fixed, but I wanted to mention it while I still remembered it.

Re: Custom Palette Issue

...huh. I'm noticing a few interesting things about how 3DGE handles new playpal's. When I have been tinkering with this , I've been running it as an iwad, which started off as a direct copy of Doom2's iwad. For the wad I posted above, I stripped out most of the content, (since at this point it stil...

Re: Custom Palette Issue

Err, yes, by "custom palette" I am referring to a custom PLAYPAL, (which technically is 14 palettes, so I guess I could have been more specific.) And logically yes, there is also a custom colormap. Here is a wad example. I've stripped out most of the graphics so it can be run as a pwad. Of course, e...

Re: Revised Dynamic Lights

Really? I saw some objects using "LIT(x)" and I figured it was forcibly adjusting the brightness of the object itself, instead of letting it take its brightness from the sector. But that would only let me adjust its value up to 100. Or can I just give aLIT value and then immediately override it with...

Custom Palette Issue

So the custom wad I have been tinkering with uses a custom palette. I had ported over all of Doom 2's graphics to this new palette as a starting point. Whenever I had loaded this wad, however, I found that the title pic had noticeable errors in it where some colors turned to black. http://i.imgur.co...

Re: Revised Dynamic Lights

Without "BRIGHT" the sprite won't have a dynamic light. But creating a bunk attack so one could have an extra light is not a bad idea. I will look into it. But in general, the way I see it, these are supposed to be dynamic lights for the default Doom objects. My goal for this was to be a replacement...

Re: [in development] unnamed fantasy mod

I love that BFG replacement so very, very much! I think what that rocket launcher replacement needs is for its main attack to be faster. It's supposed to be devastating, is it not? It's surprisingly hard to clear out a room with that thing because it takes to long to move through the room. The purpl...

Re: Revised Dynamic Lights

Of course; go right ahead! That's what I was hoping to happen.
I was posting it here mostly hoping for some feedback; it's always nice to have a second pair of eyes on things. Never know if you missed something.
