@corbin: I thought about Neils. the fire sprites don't show any bloom until you are right up on them, it's the settings of course, the wrapper has to be fine tuned. As you can see in this screen, the bloom effect doesn't occur on large fire sprites until player is quite close. http://imageshack.us/a...

Andrew kindly placed a link to this site from the forum-down message over at the EDGE page. Andy want's to put the forum back up but he's tied up in crunch time for the new Eureka editor, so it will be a while.

So a lot of doomers on the Z side of the doom port family are all exited about the new QeffectsGL wrapper for open gl games. It turns out the wrapper works decently for EDGE as well. It looks like the old Edge forums are in the middle of a massive spam attack. There are already hundreds of pages of spam and dozens of new accounts are being created each day. I've notified the mods but at this point the forum will have to be re-scripted as a simple cleaning would not be enough. :(...

Okay, cutting the number of freedoom copies to 1 instance instead of placing the IWAD in every individual folder would cut the file size by about 100 mb. Getting rid of covert ops saves even more space. Is there anyone who thinks this needs to be repackaged? I really wanted this to be as fool proof ...

Well, here it is. This zip contains some of the more complete modifications and TCs for edge to have been released within the last 5 years or so. Covert ops doesn't work. I'll probably have to reload this later with a little more organized structure. This thing came out to be 300 megs download wise,...

Corbin: Not to bluff, but I think Hyper was the first mod to take advantage of 3D models to a large degree. That might have been CQB for edge, which there are no youtubes of. Anyway, it's time for some EarthBound Doom, in which it's totally cool to kill things with a frying pan while being the least...
