Indeed, it may be best if the would-be modder could specify the key that must be pressed to enter/exit the vehicle. Nonetheless, that's a very good idea, and makes me think of the Goldeneye TC =p In that, when you 'entered' the tank, your weapon would be permanently switched to the main cannon, and you could 'run over' your enemies. It was well done, I thought

Well I hate to ruin the surprise but I was going to have vehicles in MoUAC (at least, in a few of the episodes), except I have been busy working to find every workaround possible to make it the best I can.

This feature would make things SO much easier and totally kick ass. Please do it. It`s not a feature that I`d add only because it exists and is new - I already planned to use it!

I also think that you should be able to define friction and drag controls in the same way you would for SECTORS.ddf. Part of my vehicle workaround was going to put you in a level where every sector has the friction and drag settings set to fit the vehicle you`re currently driving, which would have been ultra-tedious. Letting us define these kind of controls along with your new size and mass etc. should also be added because a tank is not going to accel and decel the same way a marine would. And a motorbike would skid out. And a hovercraft would drift a lot.. etc!!

We`d also have to have movement noises, IE one for idle, one for moving, one for jumping/flying.

Needless to say this feature would be an exciting and useful one to me!

Cool Nick, that seals it -- the release after 1.29 will have vehicle support.

I'm personally looking forward to coding it, heaps of fun possibilities... :P

Anyone here a fan of Necrodome? I liked that game alot, cept for the fact it needed more weapons for when you exit your vehicle. The shotgun in it was done in a interesting way, to me the game needed a machine gun, or sniper rifle to be complete. Btw, this also runs fine in XP even in High Res mode if your willing to spent some time configuring it.

Yeah I cant wait for this feature, I already have 3 huds for vehicles ready to go!!!

I've probelly asked this before, but when will Edge support Multiplayer?

Yeah vehicles will allow running over monsters (that's half the fun :P). Dunno exactly how that will work yet.
