Custom death animations on acidfloors (lava, slime, etc.)

Remember it never hurts to ask, but you might not get it.

Also: Slime sectors that can hurt Hellspawn.

The issue there is that Hellspawn wont react to it.
For that effect to work correctly, you'd have to write AI telling the hellspawn not to walk on damage sectors, to find the quickest route off damage sectors etc.

As far as I'm concerned, with the obvious limitations that would exist, i'd be happier without the feature, it'd only stand as a way to highlight the limited AI of the enemies.

Although it's entirely possible through DDF that the correct enemy behaviour could be created and with RTS the enemy damage sector could be created.
So if you really want it the option is always there.

Even with the dodgy AI, I can think of a few uses for floors which damage monsters.

With custom death and pain states it would be possible to produce some interesting effects with floors which hurt monsters. For instance, a monster which if it dies in lava, is reborn as a lava demon or somesuch. Custom pain states for monsters in damaging floors could trigger special attacks (like picking up lava and throwing it at the player).

Damaging floors which heal certain monsters instead of harming them might also be an idea - those demons must have all those pits of blood everywhere for some reason, mustn't they?

And of course situations in which monsters being killed by damaging floors is incorporated into the level design - like a situation in which you can kill a bunch of monsters by pressing a switch which fills the room they're in with acid.

Still, it probably wouldn't work if all damaging sectors damaged all monsters - there'd need to be some option to specify which (if any) monsters are damaged by the sector.
