Rectangular Thing Radius

Postby Lobo » Tue 27 Nov 2007 10:32 pm

Well, I've been messing around with md2 models and have come to the conclusion that we need to be able to define rectangular thing "radius" as opposed to the usual square one.

Imagine an md2 model like a bus which is say 64 wide by 128 long: with the current DDF commands you'd only be able to stop the player walking through the bus from the side (RADIUS=64;) but if he came from the front he'd walk "into" the model 32 units until he hits the 64 radius.

Kinda odd to explain but I'm sure you get the drift.

I get your drift.

This would need substantial changes to the physics code,
and I'm not doing any major physics code work for 1.31.

I dunno, something better is needed now I guess.
Damn models, they change everything!

For now we'll just stick invisible extrafloors/blocking linedefs in

"Yar!" said the cow, who had been watching from afar...
