Bullet proof translucent linedefs

Postby Liberation » Tue 13 Nov 2007 7:06 pm

Bullet proof translucent linedefs, as the title says. i make glass from trans lines [410] to be percise but i cant find a way of stopping projecties and shit going through them. i know you can use extra floors but i think it would be neat to have a Solid special or something.

An example linedef that does what you want.

[601]
TRANSLUCENCY=45%;
LINE_EFFECT=BLOCK_SHOTS;

You probably need AUTO=TRUE; in that ddf entry.

There is also a linedef flag for blocking shots. It is EDGE specific and I don't know if it exists in the configs of any map editors.
