Come on Corbin, I'd be pissed off as well.

As far as I know, Liberation has done all the mapping up to now (which is what we see in the screenshot on your site, the mapping, Liberations mapping, not any fancy spriteing or digitization and stop motion) and it has been stated many times that both Tragos AND Liberation are working on the mod, a fact which you neglect to mention in your blog post.

Then just to really add insult to injury, you basically claim co-ownership of the mod!

And finally, not happy with all of that, you come on here, portraying yourself as the victim while simultaneously attacking and insulting Liberation.

I think the one who should be apologizing is you.

To be honest, I haven't kept up with the Aliens thread here. All I know is that Tragos is headlining it, and he's working with me on Hypertension. What better way to show a project off like that? Tragos sent me some images, I just immediately put one of them up @ the blog. I didn't think twice about putting anymore up from here, although I suppose I should've. I also talked with Tragos about lending a lot of help to the EDGE version of the mod, which I was planning on doing in between Hypertension. I just sort of forgot that Liberation was tagged on, and I didn't think twice about it. For that, I'm sorry.

...
But I understand...

.. Liberation, I'm sorry about all of that crap, really, I'll take it down. I was just stupidly misinformed in my head. I assumed things, and that was very asshole-ish of me. I've just getting my butt grilled everywhere I go lately, and I'm sorry I was so harsh to you. I didn't mean to take ownership of the mod at all, I just wanted to state that we were going to lend a lot of help towards it. It's weird to think that some of these other projects have a team tagged onto them. I was just so used to solo projects around here for the longest time.

Sorry, Lib, I hope you don't hate me forever. =(

I'm relieved that Doomworld is defending it and realizing how crazy some of those people are. At any rate, someone from Transfusion stated that it's good publicity for the project at any rate =)

I guess I just take what I can from the bad and make it good, right? ;)

The Tommy gun is a model right? Out of curiousity, how big texture map are you using?

Birthday! Still thinking about doom...

Postby Tragos » Fri 04 Sep 2009 3:34 am

My birthday was the 31st, I am now 24.... Anyways, we celebrated it at a old historic settlement, the 1800's has produced some very nice weathered textures! I couldn't help but think about blood and hypertension while I walked around the spooky old stable, and other various landmarks at the site. I'll send you high res versions of the pictures if your interested Corbin. Sorry for the bad angles, I had no tripod nor did I intend on doing this on my birthday! Once I started I found it hard to stop.... Anyways, here is a few shots of what I captured.

Haven't used those textures yet Tragos, but here's a shot
of our new decal system we have developed for Hypertension.
I think it looks pretty good. The shot itself though is nothing
special, haha.

Finally - here's this.
