I've always liked the Cacodemons, there is just something elegant about them.... Personally, I'd give them a more realistic lighting attack which would be very hard to avoid. Their "bite" is rarely used, so maybe give them a charging attack? Kinda like the big brother to the lost soul.... ...

I just don't want people to over analyze. Based upon your current work, I wouldn't expect you to leave those shotgun shells bright red. I have tested it 4 way on a LAN and have had no problems. The myth is that anything over 4 players is unstable. I haven't the room to test this out right now.. I did find this: " You can host a 8 player game with some degree of lag around 50ms-95ms." The main port of choice is still Zdoom ...

Id like to see the map editor released as well... What I meant is, in order to keep everything to scale my smallest room or space in any part of my level is 128x128. Does the lag still appear if you run the map in Gzdoom? Doombuilder has a set tag for 3d bridges, did you try that method as well? If you send me the map, I can have a look as see if there's anything I can do.

Everything looks great! I'd be very interested to try out your map editor, my own project makes use of 128x128 as the base tile for the rest of the map. I don't like the new pinky demon much, but I won't criticize work in progress. How many months have you spent on this?

Thanks guys! I'm far from finished, the bar can be pushed higher still.... :D I want people to think of this as a real game, and not just a spiffy "doom mod". AVM is really for the fans. Once this project is finished ( awhile from now ) my personal mission it to help everyone on this forum...

Looks like I have to buy it, and it needs to be skinned? I may be able to turn out a skin for it. I don't need this right away, the sprite from Aliens Online has been a good placeholder. But lack of frames has kept it from really being awesome....
