Doom was never intended to support 3d models, if that's what you want then mess around with Quake. 1 - Doom doesn't support 3D models. EDGE does. 2 - Doom was never meant to support jumping, mouse look or customised weapons - maybe what you're looking for is the doom engine, not an engine based off...

3d models have replaced sprites. Sure, sprites are generally better for menus and 2d overlays, but those are often vector rather than raster (which is probably the 'sprites' you're a fan of), but i wouldn't look at that limited use as any sort of victory for the sprite.. 2d is a niche market, it jus...

Yeah, I use RTS for a lot of things. Being able to have buttons that change texture when activated, change their associated dynamic lighting thing and that can affect multiple.. things, is pretty powerful.
I've got a new PC now, I really should get back into EDGE modding..

I use hitscan for the players sniper rifle, but prefer to use a projectile for the enemy's attack. I should change all my attacks to projectiles, ones which fly forever (with gravity drop of course), but become new projectiles which deal less damage every x ticks they travel for.
