you can get your hands on just about every EDGE release ever made(including 1.22 and 1.23).

Look for e123win.zip, near the end of the list.

Seriously Visplane , why are you still here? Since EDGE is just a stagnant port full of silly limitations, you should head on over to some other ports site and get yourself an engine which allows you to do some serious modding. It's like those posts you used to see in ps2 forums, where you'd get tro...

ZDoom on the GP2X

Just thought I'd mention that ZDoom to the GP2X hand held console.

Pretty cool: Doom, Heretic, Hexen and Strife all in the one go (we didn't have Strife till this).

Gamepad controller

Just remembered this the other day. Any chance of getting gamepad/joystick support in EDGE?

And please, no discussions along the lines of:

Status update: Well I was foolishly thinking that I could get a beta release out relatively soon (week or two) since I *thought* that all I had left to do was strip out the old code editor and swap in the new one, and then add the MD2 viewer to the MD2 States Tool. I was feeling so optimistic I even...

Sooner or later I'll get around to implementing an auto-generated config file in EMUS (I think it would be more useful dynamically than using a static one), just don't know when. Two things put me off everytime I think about starting coding: 1. The new version of DB is being developed and the .cfg p...

... it's easy enough for people to write tutorials etc now (and have them stickied), but no one does. So how is creating this wiki suddenly going to motivate everyone to get involved? Wikis have a tendency to get spammed (if you read DoomWorld regularly you may have noticed threads about Eternity's...

It's not a bug: The documentation does not state anywhere that DROPITEM takes multiple items. In fact it always speaks of the singular.

Like Apophis said, if you need multiple items dropped then you need to use the DROPITEM States Special.

As DartmerC said, I think the main reason no-one has made a DB config file is because it would be obsolete so quickly . EDGE itself tends to redefine stuff now and then, and then every mod you try defines it's own stuff too. What we need is a tool which could take a wad and generate the config file ...

Actually the Robotech WIP was completely standalone i.e. you don't need doom2.wad to play it. In my case at least, the attraction of a "Standalone" mod for EDGE is to make it easier on the end user to play it: you save them the hassle of acquiring the game files for an old game. If your mo...
