It can be done, and it looks good too. I've done it a long time ago and it looks very cool. The secret is in a combination of some 2sided linedefs and some RTS triggered texture swapping and line blocking, but the actual details I'll leave as an exercise for the student  You need an RTS script...

Not that off-topic: we are talking about TBS right?

As a matter of fact that is almost exactly what I used to scream while playing Dune2000 on my PSX

The next EMUS is going kick ass, I think. I'm dying to release a beta, just so you folks can check out the new stuff, even if it's only semi-functional right now. But it's one thing to release a beta as a tech preview, where the new stuff is not complete (or just plain broken), and it's something el...

Change of plan. See if "debug.txt" has any content. If so post it here. Also, not a bad idea what Liberation said: unzip a new copy of Edge 1.31 into a new directory, stick a copy of doom2.wad in with it and try running it. Something very odd is happening to your computer: what's the story...

Come on Corbin, I'd be pissed off as well. As far as I know, Liberation has done all the mapping up to now (which is what we see in the screenshot on your site, the mapping, Liberations mapping, not any fancy spriteing or digitization and stop motion) and it has been stated many times that both Trag...

Yeah, sorry folks I'm not dead yet... just really busy with Real Life. I've kinda been out of the loop for months now but sooner or later I'll get around to coding EMUS again (which is what's stopping me from working on Lonely Meadows, since I need some new EMUS stuff to make my modding easier... it...

And other thing i want to comment. Is the EMUS application being updated? I use it a lot, but it seems some functions and features in the new versions are missing. Well, it's not abandoned yet. Let me know what features you are missing and I'll put them on my ToDo list. Also, make sure you are usin...

What OS are you using? If you're on windows you can simply drag and drop your TCs .wad file(s) onto the EDGE.exe and you're good to go. If you prefer to use a fancy Graphical interface then you could try this: E.S.L. http://www.webng.com/firstgen/programs/main01-1.PNG As for a list of EDGE-specific ...

Shit, if I told you how I made that you'd laugh at me. Ahhh.. what the hell... get ready for a laugh: I used EDGEs automatic screenshot commands to take a shitload of bmps while I was playing (and I mean hundreds of .bmp), then I used some ancient program that accepts a load of bmps and makes...

People should really stick EVERYTHING into one wad when they release stuff. Then all you have to do is just drag and drop the wad onto EDGE and you're done. For testing and modding I can understand why you have external files all over the place, but when you go public there's no excuse not to packag...

Nice stuff, and kudos on it being the first public mod for EDGE to make use of MD2 models! 2 complaints: a) Why can't I reload whenever I want to? It's so irritating being constantly caught with an almost empty magazine! b) Way too short! We need an expansion pack for this mod ASAP! Nice work Sierra...

I've got a demo version from december 2006: I'm not sure if that was the latest/last version or not.

Also, it seems to be only part 1: were parts 2 and 3 ever made?

sierraoscar19: here comes my initial feedback.... A few points to note: 1. Don't include EDGE32.exe in the zip (that's one of the reasons why it was disallowed in Newstuff). 2. OpenAL is no longer used by EDGE, so including it in the zip is pointless. (also OpenALwEAX.exe is another reason for being...

Yes, EDGE already supports PNG and JPG textures, both inside a wad and also as external files (and has for some time now).

No, it does not support pk3 nor zip.

Couldn't be a hoax: I've been following this thing right from the beginning, almost 2 years ago. It's real. You've never seen the whole device because it's not made yet. Or to be more accurate, we actually have seen everything except the plastic shell to house all the bits we've seen up to now. One ...

Finally pre-ordered my Pandora!

So, today the pre-orders began for this great portable console/laptop/linux thingy!

It took a while (their servers were swamped as soon as it went online) but in the end I managed to place my order!

God, I can't wait for my !
