I got a few of these errors when I tried my own TCs too.

Apparently now we need to add a dummy state to certain SPAWN type attacks in the DDF entry. Once that's done then it works.

What do you want to do with those menus anyway? I mean you're not going to modify the source code and include your own personal options to do stuff not coded in the EDGE engine so I don't understand why you're asking this. If you're looking to simply translate the text to Spanish or something then y...

1. PNG and TGA support has been in EDGE for quite a while now, for sprites or textures or flats or whatever you want. You need to read up on EDGEs DDF and RTS docs. You can go here for the most up to date ones: http://firstgen.no-ip.info/ddf_online/index.htm or if you prefer offline I'd suggest grab...

I'd say to check in DoomBuilder where you're missing textures, then add them. Or it could be open sectors: I've seen this before but don't remember which of these two was the problem. But it's a mapping error.

Well I had a database error, then got pissed off about other stuff and decided to delete everything and restore from an old backup.

So now it's in limbo a bit till I get around to setting it up again.

I'm afraid I'm your typical geek who does all his web designing with a text editor, though I do use Kompozer (or even Frontpage) if I need to do weird table layouts or Image maps. What's wrong with Kompozer? Maybe you should try to simplify the design if you're finding that you're running into compa...

Go ahead and alienate 65% of your potential user base. If your site looks wrong depending on what browser is being used then the problem is your site, not the browser. It used to piss me off when sites wouldn't let you navigate because you weren't using IE, but now I see that FireFox is going the sa...

Hope you all find it useful, and I'm looking forward to hearing any feedback.

@Liberation, you might want to grab this version too, since it's slightly newer than what you've got.

Sort like what Liberation said, but I'm thinking of seeing through the eyes of any THING, not just a camera. Would it be possible to render the world from the POV of an arbitrary thing(obviously a THING which has some kind of TID assigned to it)? Man, that would open up some sweet possibilities for ...

Go for it! I'd rather have to learn everything from scratch than have to keep hitting the brick wall which the current limited RTS represents. If it's a bit of an uphill struggle at first, but is powerful enough to be able to do whatever we want, then I'm all for it, even if it looks like C++ :D Jus...

In that case, speedwise it might be playable, but you're still gonna have memory issues with any kind of recent EDGE mod. It's only got 64 MB of RAM (which of course will be even less taking into account OS overhead). Even most ZDoom wads on the GP2X(also 64MB) simply crash out due to the lack of me...

... and we're just getting started with a 1.31 port to GP2X... ... I'm not so worried about the GP2X because it's a modernish platform and can handle this stuff without much effort... I don't want to rain on your parade, but as someone who has followed the gp2x scene for years now, owns the device,...

Well, as soon as I get home I'll upload a beta someplace (right now I'm "on the road" with work stuff for a couple of days). The two most obvious bugs (which I don't want to hear about :D) are: 1. texture transparency is not supported. Sorry folks, for mapping I think the way it is is good...

Well, after a solid 5 hours coding I've got it more or less working, though I'm sure it's buggy as hell! (another good reason to make it a standalone app :D ). It's a bit slow, but I guess even if it takes half an hour it's better than doing it by hand  It imports into the wad 2 versions of yo...

LoRes Wad Creator Tool: Released!

[Split from the main EMUS thread] Guess what: I'm in the exact same hotel as last time, on the same day of the week, at the same time, and with the same few hours of precious coding time on my hands! I've decided to go with Joppus request and do the Auto HiRes texture tool, though I think I'll make...

So, after a very long hiatus, I finally got sent off with work to the arse end of nowhere and, due to an unforseen event, found myself with a few hours of free time on my hands. I finally got stuck into coding what was left to do for WET (Wad Editing tool) and got almost everything done! It's still ...

It's not possible to do what you want.

The only place you can do some kind of mathematical operations is with the LUA stuff.

Thanks for the idea's Lobo. I wonder if the method's you mentioned will work with Zdoom? Of course they will: they're valid ideas for any port, as long as you can modify the source code of said port as discussed. Might want to check whether you'll be obliged by license to release your modified sour...

If you like I can suggest to you what I suggested to Corbin a few years back, when he also wanted to "protect" *ahem* his *ahem* material. You can do something really quick and dirty that will stop 99% of people in their tracks: 1. change your wad extension be something else (say .wwd). Wi...
