Ironic that you're posting this here, since EDGE is one of the ports which will benefit zero from such a tool.

The model viewing code is almost done now, at least it does nearly everything I want it to do (rendering, rotating/panning/zooming, png/jpg/bmp skin support, plays animation). Still need to tidy up the code a lot, encapsulate it into a re-usable class, and add code to take care of all the frame/anim...

But why do you need me to re-upload? The link works!

Make sure you're trying the download the latest, more complete wad, which is this one:

Well, been hard at it trying to get some kind of model viewer incorporated into EMUS. Here is my odyssey for you to enjoy! The Search: At first I was trying to find some source code in VB 2005 to do my own, but there is absolutely nothing out there. fruitless Then I decided to try and see if I could...

You b*stard DartmerC!

I was foolish enough to check it out in work... then had some very uncomfortable moments trying to explain to my boss why I was rolling on the floor with tears in my eyes

Ah, it's the version you're using then. I'd advise you to get the "unstable" 1.3 release: it's got some handy stuff for what we need to do, especially the global transformations (model and animations). 1.3.6 is not as buggy as it sounds, or at least it hasn't crashed on me yet anyway. :D B...

Why don't you upload the wad someplace and then we can check it over more thoroughly? Usually it's hard to solve a problem like this from only seeing snippets of DDF in a forum post. It's like the other problem you had were you thought it was the weapon code, and it turned out the problem was in ima...

Sorry to bump, Lobo, i've followed your tut (very good by the way) but I run into an issue when it comes to the 90 degree rotation from Misfit. I don't have a 'Model' menu. You don't? Even if you don't have anything open you should have: File, View, Tools, Model, Geometry, Materials etc. across the...

Cheers Andrew. Well, got sidetracked again: I've starting working on improving the syntax highlighting in RTS-IDE. The new editor is a hell of a lot faster than the old (50x at least!) when it comes to loading and syntax colouring. I'll be extending its use to the rest of the wad editing tools for t...

Well, just so folks know: EMUS is by no means dead. As a matter of fact I've been hard at it doing the MD2 states tool( MST ) over the last few weeks and it's now a very different beast from what it was (I mean that positively of course!) -Interface overhaul (thanks to Lib for the idea): now it's tr...

Still been thinking about this over the last few days. It would be dead handy to have an RTS command that changes linetypes on the fly. Is it possible from a devs POV to implement this? I don't know if it would be a very complicated change for you to make, or even if it's possible at all. Just curio...

I was just asking about this because I seem to recall that the idea came up before but couldn't remember if a new command had been done for it or not.
It would also have been handy for Security cameras too.

The second idea sounds good.

Is it possible....

Is it possible to change a linedef type from RTS?

I'm thinking of shooting out mirrors for example: the line would trigger an RTS which change the line type to a normal one with a different texture to simulate that it was now broken.

That's the one.
There's a couple of programs you'll need, but that's the only non-free one.

I'll try and upload the tutorial later today to my site.

I did a tutorial on this but haven't got around to tweaking it completely nor uploading it.

You would need Milkshape though (there's one or two more tools but they're free).

Well most of that you can already do with a combo of FRT + IDT, though I admit the lo-res part would be handy all right. It could be interesting to add some "auto-generated lo-res texture" stuff to IDT though to help with DB mapping.

I'll note it down for a future date.

I've got a GP2X which is the spiritual "father" of this beastie. I've been following this project since the beginning and I've been drooling almost constantly! I tried to convince them that it needed 4 shoulder buttons for Psx emultaion, but no joy in the end. Batteries are estimated to be...
