Footsteps?

Hi, I want to have the player make footstep sounds when he walks, but there's a problem: I can actually impliament it, but every time I stop, about four extra footstep sounds play. Is there anyway to have footsteps stop the instant you stop moving?

No. What I'm "after" is maybe being able to put resources from EDGE.wad and put it in my own .WAD, and be able to switch the iWAD from doom2.wad (even FreeDoom) to my own .WAD file. I want to be able to create stand-alone games using the resources from Doom/EDGE with those simple technique...

Stand-Alone

I have tried a few different ways of making my game stand-alone, without requiring edge.wad or doom2.wad (so long as another .WAD is specified as the base.) Is there any chance, in a future version, that you'll add this?
