I do recall someone saying something about the length of .wav files in .wadfiles, it might've been WildWeasel. As far as I know, EDGE doesn't support certain weapon sounds that are extra-long, or maybe it had to do with the actual size of the .wav file? I can't remember, but I don't believe there is...

This would only be useful for multiplayer, and even by then it would be something of a trivial feature. So, maybe after multiplayer

Unfortunately this means the mod will clock in at a very large size, so you will have to get it via idgames or by torrent. I will be seeding 24/7 so no worries there! I'm sure that many of your hardcore fans, myself included would have no real qualms about seeding the game for people to download, h...

Yeah, Cory Whittle likes automatic-reloading, because it forces the player into a very vulnerable state, where attacks can be made on him, but he can't make any back =p I presume he appreciates this dimension it adds to his gameplay.

I think we can all agree that Macintosh computers are over simplified pieces of crap that cater only to the lowest common denominator, the people that can't figure out how to operate a real computer =p Actually, truth be told, I've heard that video editing is easier on a Mac... Basecally all EDGE mods are still limited to look like "Doom". For example main menu is always "Doomish" and cannot be changed. Custom LUA main menus would allow modder break the limit of doom stuff and make their mod totally custom. I've never really seen that as a huge problem...

You gotta be kidding me! DDF CANNOT be replaced with LUA. DDF is the heart and soul of EDGE, you can't take it away! I didn't know that we were using the 'Enhanced DDF Gaming Engine' =p At any rate, replacing certain areas of DDF with LUA might be a smart move, as LUA may be more usable. I ha...

Tilge! That would sound better than EDGE 2.0 ;p Mmm, I'm with Ajapted, in that I can't entirely understand the huge fuss about LUA-scripted HUDs. While it could be a cool thing to have, I would hardly think that it could immensely impact a modification's feel. Hmm, then again, having a mini-automap ...

Mmm, after hibernating some, I was able to get the game to work :P I didn't notice any huge bugs, the demo was pretty enjoyable, some original ideas (I like the Battloid/Guardian mode switching), and like Nick said, the asteroid field was fun to navigate. Also, those training robots look absolutely ...

Yes, i've got it implemented and will be in my current project. EDIT: Simply create custom deaths for each enemy with each weapon, that call the RTS to give the player an unused ammo (this will be your experience points), then have an RTS that runs in the background checking if the player has the c...

Chrono, I think you should experiment more with EDGE, in lieu of asking 'can I do xxxxx?', find out if you can do things by yourself, learn the limitations of the engine, and if you do encounter any, see if you can't make a workaround for it =p Experimenting with EDGE is safer than experimenting wit...

Your idea, Dartmerc, is the Strife inventory system. The Strife inventory system worked exactly the same as Heretic or Hexen's... You would have an icon representing your selected item on your hud, and you would use Invleft and Invright keys to adjust selection left or right, respectively. And then ...

Mmm, so I see. I started out playing FPS's on the PC, but I got my first taste of up/down aiming from Goldeneye, some time ago, on the N64.
