I'm not so sure storyline is so fundamentally important in a Doom mod, or really any sort of game at all. Deadhunt didn't have a coherent or well fleshed out plot of any sort, but it was still better than most games of a similar calibre =p Elements of story can be effective in creating an enjoyable,...

98 is just as vulnerable as anything else Corbin. It is also worthy to note, I've only ever once had a virus. Maybe twice. The truth is - it's really, really tricky to get a virus. You actually have to work at it =p Nobody gets viruses anymore, and even if you do, they're generally not very life-thr...

Seriously though, you are linking a...YTMND page?? Oh that, it was just for comedic value, we were all being far too serious here :P And yeah, I meant 'lesser OS', you can fill in the blanks =p You can only argue that point if there was something else besides an OS that we could interface with (lik...

Blah blah blah http://epiclogon.ytmnd.com/ sucurity faults, anecdotal evidence, fanboyism, etc =p Seriously, I could just say that I had a 98 box that got a million viruses therefore 98 is a lesser computer and it would have as much validity as what is being argued. =p I've only been using XP for a ...

DOS-loving sheep?

Why does it seem like I am the only one around here that found working with DOS was a royal pain in the ass? It might've been the most stable operation system, but that doesn't make it better than the largely more functional, newer operating systems, especially XP. I'd take functionality over stabil...

I played Descent wayyy back when it was almost brand new =p It was one of my favourite games, and also the first game I played featuring 6 Degrees of Freedom, something that made the title unique and some say 'revolutionary'. I still play Descent these days, it's as much of a classic to me as Doom i...

There is really nothing to be jealous about in EDGE. GZDoom does everything EDGE can do, and more. On the other hand, EDGE is simpler, which attracts a different audience. However, it is worthy to note that GZDoom's rendering, while it looks slightly better, takes a lot more juice to use, making it ...

Why not just tell your intended audience to save frequently? That would seem like it would involve less work than implementing auto save lines.

Well, BaronofStuff, DDF might be more intuitive than DECORATE, and a whole lot simpler, but user-friendliness cannot come at the cost of true usability. Using DECORATE, you can achieve more than DDF, although you'll need to be smarter to use it =p Now, you have to remember that EDGE still has a ways...

I'm guessing it's Catalyst. Gosh ATI's drivers are a mess. Hmm...so it's not EDGE, it's a problem with the drivers, or Vista. ATI's stuff is a total mess though...Nvidia's drivers never had this problem at all. :( For Christ's Sake, stop being Nvidia's bitch =p You're just making an ass out of your...
