Lysander, there are a couple of threads already floating around that list functions and have a bit of back and forward with Andrew over a few specific issues.
Between this, a knowledge of Lua and the standard gui that Andrew has written in COAL, you should be able to work out your issues.

Is there any way to rotate a texture that is being used as a flat, and have it look correct and not all stretched? When I use a line action (804, for example) to align + rotate a sectors floor, and that floor happens to be a texture, the result is always stretched out. I'm assuming this has somethin...

Yes, this is possible, has been in fact as long as I've been using edge. You'll need to give your projectiles health values, and simply use an attack that damages them. For bonus points, spawn a projectile heading 180 degrees from the original ones trajectory to create a lightsaber laser shot bounch...
