Good luck to you Andrew in your future endeavors! You really pushed EDGE a lot further than any of us ever thought she'd go, and I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say THANK YOU for sticking with it as long as you have! P.S. Also, apologies to you all for not being around here much (though I ...

Well I don't know if you wear really tight jeans or not ;) but it fits in my pockets OK (back pocket always and front pocket depends on how baggy my trousers are!). So far I'm mainly enjoying the PSX emulator, and for music and video it's great. The N64 emu is shaping up nicely too. Even have Quake ...

Graf did a great job with Gzdoom. However the constant hostility and complaining of ATI users eventually led him to shut down development. Both Nvidia and ATI render graphics different from one another. Graf was more skilled working with Nvidia so he chose to concentrate his efforts on that area. T...

You mean you haven't played EDGE on line yet?! You must be using the shareware version. Just kidding! No, EDGE has no netplay. At this stage in it's life I don't think it ever will unfortunately. It was going to have it, then it was put on the backburner, then it was stripped out and replaced with n...

Re: Sprite(s) facing angle and other question.
I need to make certain one side(face) sprite to face(look at) a certain angle BUT permanently, this is, without rotations and with his only face, so the player will see that face, unless he is perfectly parallel with that sprite horizontal. Is that possible? I've read this three times but still can...

Re: EDGE Developers United
The problem is that i don't know the list of possible parameters that can be used to launch EDGE, f.example "-map ...." or "-skill ....", "-debug..." etc... Where can i retrieve such list of parameters? The Readme.txt that is included with Edge has all the command line...

Re: Linear-Keyframe Interpolation
What a drama queen! You want to gouge your eyes out because your models look like crap? Really Corbin, who the hell makes lots of "extremely" high poly models (using .md2 models?!) and then later notices that they don't work well in game and that the inherent animation format is limited? S...

Could you pump up the joypad turn/mlook speed, please? The current highest setting is just that little bit too slow. I tried editing the .cfg file directly but then the whole turning/mlooking stopped working! I'd recommend that the current highest setting be the middle one, or just let us use higher...

New version uploaded: same download link as previous. This version has some additional error checks, some cosmetic changes, as well as generating a handy logfile when things go bad. If anyone gets any errors with this I would be very interested in both the logfile AND the image which caused the error.

I've uploaded a newer version of the LoRes Texture tool (the link is the same). @Tragos: I'd appreciate it if you could give it a go, and let me know what errors you got in the logfile.txt that this version generates. BTW, Doom cannot handle graphics higher than 128, which is why it was bombing out ...

Re: WTF?
I've tried your program. It works very well, but it appears I'm still doing something wrong. 1. Converted pcx images to bmp. 2. Converted bmp to png. 3. Ran Lobo's program using .50 scale (wrong), with 2 images giving me errors. 4. Re-textured the first room using the new source wad. So far so good...

Re: Familar level.
I screwed up the palette in my texture file, this is why Lib's map textures look better. How did you manage this Lib? Importing the textures as raw data in XWE makes them unable to display in Doom Builder. Maybe I can add a custom palette support to XWE? Or did you just convert each texture to .png...
