Re: Alpha #1 available

The EDGE 1.31-Alpha#1 test package is now available. It is under the "Test Builds" section on the SourceForge download page. Great work, Andrew  I haven't seen a tarball with 1.31_alpha1 source code, so i have written a Gentoo ebuild to install EDGE directly from SVN repository I...

Re: [SVN-Windows] compile error on src/n_bcast.cc

After the several "Linux sucks" posts (LOL :D ), i'm trying to accomplish an adventurous (for me) building session for Windows 8) Sorry, but you picked a bad time to try it. There is a lot of new code which I haven't tried to compile for Windows yet. Especially the new networking code (wh...

[SVN-Windows] compile error on src/n_bcast.cc

After the several "Linux sucks" posts (LOL :D ), i'm trying to accomplish an adventurous (for me) building session for Windows 8) I'm following two path: ⋅ On Linux, using a cross-compiler (mingw32), running scons cross=true ⋅ On Windows, through MinGW&C In both cas...

Perhaps the IWAD he's using is corrupted? Probably not. Edge 1.29 works fine, i've tried on several computer, and i play Doom1,2 fine with other Doom Source ports. All of this using the same IWADs. About a possible videocard issue, i've tested it on: ⋅ nVidia Geforce 6800 (with OpenGL pro...

It works OK for me. So I suggest: 1) make sure your SVN copy is completely up-to-date. Upsidedown images were happening a while ago, but have been fixed. 2) make sure you build from scratch: scons -c Thanks for these suggestions! But... they don't work :( I've decided to remove entirely the "e...

[SOLVED] quite strange graphic error: graphic inverted?

Hi, i'm trying to play with EDGE on Linux, compiled from SVN sources. Like suggested by ajapted , i've ran it with the following command (from svn sources dir): $ ./gledge32 -ddf data/doom -iwad /usr/share/games/doom-data/doom2.wad But the in-game graphics seems to be displayed totally inverted! :sh...

Firstly, whether glbsp.h gets installed into /usr/include by a Gentoo/etc distribution is not up to me. I don't maintain any packages for any Linux distributions. That is something to talk to the packagers about. About Gentoo, NP. I'll contact relevant devs to make them improve glbsp package ...

How to create edge.wad from scratch?

I've just installed the DDFInWAD tool, and i want to create edge.wad from scratch. If i use only the files in data/doom i obtain a smaller wad file than the one provided by the 5.3 version . I think i'm skipping some step... What are the steps to accomplish this? :P (tell me if my explanations are n...

SCons has some autoconf-like detection for installed headers and libraries, I don't know how they work yet. Maybe you would like to investigate it, and create a patch? after all, it should be "trivial" Great, this changes seems to be functional 8) diff -urNP edge/src/l_glbsp.cc ...

add glbsp.h to repository

Hi, i've a little trivial request about EDGE's GLBSP dependency. src/l_glbsp.cc says #include "glbsp/src/glbsp.h" and INSTALL doc says If you downloaded the EDGE source code from the SVN (Subversion) repository, then you will need to add a copy of the GLBSP source code and possibly the oth...

I think the problem is not including glext.h, so try adding the following line into i_defs_gl.h : #include "GL/glext.h" and let me know if that fixes it. This line is already present in that file: #ifndef __SYSTEM_SPECIFIC_DEFS_OPENGL__ #define __SYSTEM_SPECIFIC_DEFS_OPENGL__ #ifdef LINUX...
