I meant using camera portals on lower textures, mainly. So that you could, say, build a skyscraper with wafer-thin slices and 3D floors to have multiple floors of windows which you can see in and out of, onto the multiple floors, but without having to then build the whole building out of endless 3D ...

A simple way to get around it might be able to make the "dying" enemy 'still solid' until it it finishes the death animation, and the MAKEDEAD action only happens right at the end of the animation

I should think the source is available in the same place as the download. But it has been said they wanted to concentrate on the GL version as it was too much work to maintain two 'seperate' ports. Personally i think the GL version fills in a good gap between the "eye candy" ports like Doo...

This was suggested on the Legacy boards years ago... i think he means a greyscale "copy" of an image which equates to how "lit up" the image is, so you could make Imps have glowing red eyes you can see in the dark
